Over 140 golfers raise $140,000 for Alzheimer’s
On Monday, July 25, over 140 golfers teamed up with PGA great David Hearn for his annual David Hearn Foundation Charity Classic at the Brantford Golf and Country Club.
Together, they raised over $140,000 for Alzheimer’s disease.
Half of the funds will go towards programs and services that are offered by the Alzheimer Society of Brant, Norfolk Haldimand, Halton and Hamilton Society. The other half will support the Alzheimer Society Research Program that provides grants and awards to Canadian researchers.
The annual golf tournament is one way Hearn is making a difference in the lives of people who are affected by Alzheimer’s. Both his great-grandmother and grandmother had the disease.
