Make your coffee count this World Alzheimer’s Day!

Friday, September 21 is World Alzheimer’s Day and to mark the day, the Alzheimer Society of B.C. is hosting a public Coffee Break® event at London Drugs Plaza – corner of Granville and West Georgia streets – in downtown Vancouver between 7 and 10 a.m.

At the event you can show your support for British Columbians affected by dementia by exchanging a donation for a cup of coffee. You can learn how you can host your own Coffee Break®, and about the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s programs and services.

If you can’t make it down on Friday but want to show your support, you can host a Coffee Break® in your office, home or local community centre. If you’re unable to host, you can attend a public Coffee Break near you to show your support.

This World Alzheimer’s Day you can also help us raise awareness of the disease by stopping in to a London Drugs near you and picking up a Forget-Me-Not flower pin in exchange for a two-dollar donation. Want to go a step further? Share a photo of you wearing your flower pin on social media with the hashtag #WorldAlzheimersDay and tag @alzheimerbc.
