  - LATE-NCLimbic-predominant age-related TDP-43 encephalopathy (or LATE-NC) is the most recently identified form of dementia, noted for its close similarity to Alzheimer’s.

2021 Accreditation

The Alzheimer Society of Ontario is proud to be accredited through the Canadian Centre for Accreditation, a third-party review based on accepted organizational practices that promote ongoing quality improvement and responsive, effective community services. ASO was granted a four-year accreditation on February 19, 2021.

Voluntary Sector Outreach Award

The Alzheimer Society of Ontario received this award in honour of the work done with Minds in Motion®.

The CIHR Institute of Aging Voluntary Sector Outreach Award aims to support Canadian voluntary sector organizations, in the area of healthy aging, to increase or enhance the impact of available knowledge on aging and public awareness, and to engage in activities that would inform the research community of unmet needs in the area of healthy aging.
