Alzheimer Society Peel is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of culturally diverse individuals with various professional backgrounds in order to be representative of the community served and to ensure the current and strategic needs of the organization are met.

2017-2018 Board of Directors


Lisa holds a number of degrees and diplomas in the field of Human Resources as well as Adult Education.  She is an experienced Consultant, certified in Change Management and Human Resources. Over 14 years progressive experience, focusing on Talent Management in the public sector. She currently works with the City of Mississauga as an Organizational Development Consultant.

Her specialties include supporting key city strategic organizational development programs and initiatives by providing consulting in the areas of change management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, performance consulting, succession planning, knowledge management, employee development, and ad-hoc OD interventions that assist leaders and their teams to meet strategic goals and provide excellent services.



Paul Corbeil joined the Alzheimer Society Peel Board of Directors in June 2012 and currently serves as the Board President.  He previously served as Co-Chair of the Nominating Committee from 2012-2017 and Vice-President from 2013-2017.

Paul is an accomplished and respected bilingual senior human resources leader and strategic business partner with over 17 years’ experience in large, complex, multiple stakeholder workplaces.  He currently works as Direct, Employee Relations with one of Canada's largest banks.  He holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters of Industrial Relations.


Mary is a Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical focus and extensive work experience in geriatrics and primary care.  She has governance experience on the board of directors for the Dorval Family Health Team, where she served 2-term Chair and is the current Vice-Chair and Chair of the Clinical Management Committee.  Mary was also the recipient of Ryerson University’s Nurse Practitioner “Preceptor” of the Year Award in 2015.


Mary-Lynn Peters is a nurse practitioner who specializes in care of the older adult. Her current professional activities include project management for the Medical Psychiatry Alliance Adult and Seniors Inpatient Delirium project, implementation of best practice guidelines in the care of older adults at Trillium Health Partners, and membership in the Senior Friendly Community of Practice with the Toronto Academic Health Science Network. She is a member of Mississauga Halton LHIN committees for Senior Friendly Hospitals and Responsive Behaviours. Mary-Lynn is a graduate of the Master of Science in Nursing program at D’Youville College and has obtained a Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner diploma from the University of Toronto. She has held Canadian Nurses Association Gerontological Nursing certification since 2010 and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society for Nursing.Mary-Lynn has been a member of the Board of Directors for Alzheimer Society Peel since 2011 and was president of the board from 2013 – 2017.


Mona is a multilingual lawyer with over 14 years’ legal practice experience in business law gained in-house at multinational companies and in private practice at leading law firms.  She is an active parent and member of the Mississauga community whose family has been impacted by Alzheimer’s.  In addition to having served as Director and Secretary of a private subsidiary of a multinational company, Mona has been an active member of various cultural, community and professional organizations including various committees at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, Ontario Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Executive, the South Asian Bar Association and the Clarkson Cooperative Nursery School.


Barry is an Inspector with Peel Regional Police with twenty-five years’ experience.  He has held numerous roles in various divisions within the PRP and is currently assigned to the Duty Inspector's Office.  Mr. Leslie is an accredited Level 3 Certified Municipal Manager through the Ontario Municipal Management Institute.  He is also an active volunteer, both within PRP and in the community; He has coached Minor Hockey and Minor Baseball in Mississauga and has been a very active volunteer with Alzheimer Society Peel since 2002.


Inna is an employment and labour lawyer and a workplace investigator at Miller Thomson LLP. She assists companies with managing their workforce and addressing human resources legal matters. Inna completed a double major in Sociology and Law & Society before completing her law degree. Inna previously served as the Vice-President of the Northview Heights Early Learning Centre Board of Directors, a member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division Continuing Legal Education Committee and a member of the Ontario Labour Relations Board Advisory Committee. She is currently serving on the Ontario Bar Association Continuing Professional Development Committee for the Labour and Employment Law Section, and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce.

DAVID MAYLOR Joined 2013


Anne McKye is an occupational therapist working as a project manager at Trillium Health Partners.  She has 20 years of experience in acute, rehab and community care of older adults experiencing frailty and mental health difficulties.  In the last 5 years she had led projects including Senior Friendly Hospitals, Health Links and most recently health system redesign through Integrated Funding Models.


Renu is an experienced leader who has held senior positions in diverse not-for-profit organizations, including Ontario Institute for Cancer Research, Prostate Cancer Canada, CNIB and UNICEF.  Ms. Minhas experience is supported by Masters in Sociology, as well as a certificate in Human Resources.  Renu is active in the community as a board member, having served as a Board Member with MHLHIN and served as President and Vice-President with India Rainbow Community Services of Peel, and has a personal connection with Alzheimer’s disease


Barry Nowoselski is a retired Senior Financial Executive with a broad range of investment, financing and mergers and acquisitions advisory experience at Canada’s leading financial institutions including Manulife, RBC and Scotiabank. Barry joined the Alzheimer Society Peel Board of Directors in 2015 and currently serves as a Director and as the Treasurer and Chair of the Audit & Investment Committee. Barry also serves on Board Committees for the Toronto Community Housing Corporation and the Lambton Golf & Country Club. Barry holds MBA and BBA degrees from the Schulich School of Business and professional designations as a Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), Director (ICD.D) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM).



Danish is a motivated bilingual wealth management professional with more than 10 years of experience in financial planning and capital markets. Being born in India, grown up in Dubai and now living in Toronto, Danish has been exposed to diverse cultural backgrounds. He has an MBA from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and currently works as a Wealth Manager at Scotia Wealth Management. Danish is keen to apply his professional skills and financial acumen to make a positive impact and give back to the community.
