Share your experience
At the Alzheimer Society, we believe that sharing your experience can help.
Whether you are a person with dementia, a caregiver, a family member or a health-care practitioner, talking about your experiences and hearing about others in similar situations can be positive and rewarding.
One way of sharing your story and hearing others is to attend some of our support group sessions. See our Education and Support Calendar for a listing of support group sessions in your area.
Another way to share your story is to speak publicly about it. This helps to raise awareness about the personal effects of dementia on families in our community. Please contact the Executive Director on the Contact Us page if you would like to learn about opportunities for public speaking.
You can also send your story to us at firstname.lastname@example.org to be posted on our website.
