May is LEAVE A LEGACY™ month: what will your legacy be?
May is LEAVE A LEGACY™ month, a nationwide public awareness program designed to encourage people to leave a gift through their will or another planned giving method to a charity or non-profit organization of their choice. You may be surprised to learn that almost 20 per cent of donations to the Society are gifts from a person’s will. Thoughtfully planned gifts form much of the financial foundation for the Society’s work, from education programs and support services to funding for research. Many people consider legacy gifts to make a statement about their values and the way they want to be remembered – and may decide to recognize a charity in their will.
