Raise your voice, speak up about dementia

On May 9 there will be a provincial election and it’s never been a better time for people to raise their voices, share their stories, and help bring attention to dementia issues.

In the weeks leading up to the election, we’ll be sharing the stories of people on the dementia journey. Sharing your own experiences with dementia is a great way to get our leaders thinking about the impact that dementia has on our communities. Watch the Society’s Chief Executive Officer, Maria Howard, speak about the importance of telling your story, below.

Watch other dementia advocates talk about their experiences and what a dementia-friendly society means to them.

Because it can be hard to share your personal experiences with dementia, we’ve also created tools like the advocacy guide and tip sheets to help make it easier. Find out more about our advocacy resources.
