Together, we have raised over $1 million at the Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s!

On Sunday, May 6, thousands of British Columbians joined us at over 20 communities across the province at the 2018 Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s. We walked in honour of moms and dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters, life partners, friends, family and colleagues. We walked to make memories matter.

We also walked to raise awareness and critical funds. We are so thrilled to announce that thanks to all of our incredible fundraisers, donors, sponsors, patrons, honourees and volunteers we have raised an event record of over $1 million dollars to date!

We would like to say a million thank-yous to everyone involved! You have all been instrumental in helping us to support programs and services to people affected by dementia, and enable research into the causes and cure of the disease.

The Alzheimer Society of B.C.'s ultimate vision is a world without Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Until that day comes, we are committed to building a world where British Columbians living with dementia and their families are welcomed, acknowledged and supported – a truly dementia-friendly province. But we can't do this alone. It will take a dramatic shift in our culture; it will take a movement. Thank you for joining this movement by walking with us.

We look forward to seeing you at next year's Walk on Sunday, May 5, 2019.
