Woodstock Tim Hortons proud Presenting Sponsors of Coffee Break

“Years and years. At least a dozen, maybe more,” says Eileen, who owns three Tim Hortons locations in Woodstock with her family.

Each year, they donate money, coffee and TimCards to help support the Coffee Break fundraiser. With the Tim Hortons coffee and a Host Kit supplied by the Alzheimer Society - which helps hosts create and promote their event - it’s easy for anyone to get involved.

This year, the Woodstock Tim Hortons are also collectively providing $1,000 to support the Tim Hortons Shopping Fun incentive; hosts that raise $200 or more will receive Tim Hortons Fun Bucks as a thank you.

Eileen believes the Alzheimer Society of Oxford’s services for people living with Alzheimer’s and dementia, as well as their caregivers, are a huge asset to the community.

Her grandmother had Alzheimer’s, which has helped fuel her passion for the cause. At the time, programs weren’t available to help, and so the family took on the responsibility of caregiving.

“For the caregiver it’s very, very hard, and nobody really realizes it until they’re in that situation,” she says. “So I think the help is very important.”

Eileen is happy to have the opportunity to give back to such a supportive community.

“To be honest, I’m happy to be involved in anything that feels really good.”
