Activity Bins

Large bins of activities circulate among many of Oxford County’s acute and long term care facilities. The facilities receive the bins for approximately three months at a time. Goals of the program are to offer hands-on tools for activation staff and family members/friends to use with residents thereby increasing the resident’s quality of life through a diverse range of recreational opportunities.

Activities from the bins may be used in groups or individually and include musical instruments, wood and sandpaper for sanding, music videos for reminiscing, dancing and socializing and many other activities.

There is no charge for this service. If you have a family member in an acute or long-term care facility, ask facility staff about items from the "Activity Bin" or contact the Education Coordinator at the Alzheimer Society of Oxford at (519) 421-2466 or info@alzheimer.oxford.on.ca.
