ASP is pleased to announce the extension of the Brunel Day Program hours and introduction to a new community bathing program.

We have received funding to extend the hours of the Brunel Day Program to allow for later evening hours. The Brunel Day Program will be open on Wednesdays from 5:00-9:00pm. The attending members will be provided with stimulating activities delivered by highly trained staff and a nutritious meal during their visit. More information will be provided for those who are interested in having their loved ones participate.

Along with the extension of hours, the funding will also allow for the opening of the Brunel Day Program's comfort and care rooms to host a new bathing program for Alzheimer Society Peel clients and members of the community. Appointments will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for families to bring their loved ones to receive assisted showers in the centre's comfortable spa-like environment. With highly qualified Personal Support Workers there to provide bathing services, families may also be trained on how to properly bathe and assist their loved ones in a secure and supportive setting. Families are required to provide necessary supplies i.e. shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash, etc.

There is no fee for the bathing program. It is open to the community, you do not need a formal diagnosis to access the program; however, you must meet certain criteria to be suitable. Please contact the program coordinator for details on eligibility.
