Ambiguous Loss & Grief in Dementia

"The word 'ambiguous' helped me understand what was going on.  I'm still married to my wife.  I love her, but I don't live with her.  I've always been crazy about her and still am.  She's looked after, but it is a huge loss for me.  The ambiguity is exactly how I feel."  - a male caregiver in Toronto

Meaningful Engagement

How do I engage with a person living with dementia as they experience changes in abilities?  This is a question we often hear from care partners.  There are ways to provide meaningful engagement through the course of the disease.  In this presentation we will provide you some ways of engagement that are often successful for people living with dementia and some ways to provide engagement at home during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thursdays, June 11 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Monday, August 10 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
