Physical and Cognitive Activation
PHYSICAL & COGNITIVE ACTIVATION
Minds in Motion® is a community-based social program that incorporates physical activity and mental stimulation for people with early to mid-stage signs of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias and their care partners.
The Alzheimer Society Music Project is designed for persons living with dementia. A personalized iPod is provided to the client along with earphones and a charging accessory for their use until it is no longer needed. The goal of this project is to provide persons living with dementia a soundtrack to their lives to enhance their social and emotional well being.
If you are interested in participating in the project, please connect with your local office of the Société Alzheimer Society Sudbury-Manitoulin North Bay & Districts. For more information about the project, please visit musicproject.ca or contact Janet.
