Volunteer Profile - Sue Golding
Sue started her journey with the Alzheimer Society in Barrie 16 years ago and we have been fortunate to have her with our Society for the last year. She first got involved because her mother had Alzheimer’s disease and because she wanted to help out a worthy cause. Sue volunteers for us in multiple capacities including: reception, volunteer scheduling, and events. She enjoys meeting new people, working with people, and being there for people.
Sue just celebrated her 8th anniversary with her husband Lorne, and together they have five children and eight grandchildren. She enjoys making memories with her family, spending time at camp paddling her kayak, bird watching, walking, fishing, and anything else outdoors.
“Volunteering with the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay is a rewarding experience and I highly recommend that others get involved.”
