Alzheimer Society of York Region receives highest award from Accreditation Canada

The Alzheimer Society of York Region has been awarded Exemplary Standing under Accreditation Canada Qmentum Accreditation program. This demonstrates excellence and commitment to providing safe, high quality, services across its organization for the benefit of people and families experiencing Alzheimer’s disease or other form of dementia.

The Qmentum process helps organizations strengthen their quality improvement efforts by identifying what they are doing well, and where improvements are needed. Says Loren Freid, CEO, “I’m proud to say that we successfully completed 397 out of 398 standards, scoring a remarkable 99.7% overall. I have our entire team to thank for this tremendous effort.”

Organizations that become accredited with Accreditation Canada do so as a mark of pride, and as a way to create a strong and sustainable culture of quality and safety.

Accreditation Canada is the leader in Canadian health care accreditation, working with more than 1,100 health care and social service organizations in Canada and around the world.
