Program Manager, Aurora D.A.Y. Centre North
Mary Moore starting working for the Alzheimer Society of York Region in November, 1987. She is the Program Manager at the Aurora Adult D.A.Y. Centre Program and is responsible for program development, coordination, implementation and evaluation. She provides leadership, direction and supervision for program staff, clients, students and volunteers, and coordinates the Volunteer and Student Program at the Aurora location. Additionally, Mary is a Field Supervisor/Practicum Supervisor for various colleges, York University, and the York Region Board of Education.
Mary is a graduate of the Gerontology-Multidiscipline Program, and the Activation Techniques in Gerontology Program, both from Humber College. She is also a graduate of the Business Management Program graduate from Seneca College/Ontario Development Management Program, and recent graduate of the Geriatric Certificate Program at McMaster University’s Continuing Health Sciences Education Program. Mary’s also a Certified Dementia Care Mapper, GPA Coach, and U-First! Trainer.
Program Manager, Thornhill D.A.Y. Centre South
Franca Contardo began working with the Alzheimer Society in 1998 as a Program Worker at the Thornhill D.A.Y. Centre. She was then promoted to Program Manager at the Stouffville D.A.Y. Centre, before returning to the Thornhill Centre as Program Manager. She is responsible for planning, implementing and adjusting of individual and group activities, as well as supervising the activities of Program Workers and Volunteers.
Franca has a diploma in Social Service Work/Gerontology from Seneca College, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from York University.
Program Manager, Stouffville D.A.Y. Centre East
Chantelle Morello started with the Alzheimer Society of York Region in 2013 as a student. She was then hired as a Program Worker, and promoted to Program Manager at the Stouffville D.A.Y. Centre. She’s responsible for program development, coordination, implementation and evaluation, providing leadership, direction and supervision for program staff, clients, students and volunteers. Chantelle is also Chair of the Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee, as well as Infection Prevention and Control Manager for the organization.
Chantelle holds a Bachelor of Health Studies degree from York University, as well as a Social Service Worker Gerontology Diploma from Seneca College.
