Volunteer with us

Please note, recent events regarding COVID-19 have had an impact on our volunteer engagement program.

Because of the government's strong directive for physical distancing and the role that we play in our communities, the Society has made the difficult decision to discontinue all in-person activities for the time being, including all volunteer roles. This applies to our Minds in Motion®, support groups, administrative roles and other education opportunities. Effective as of Tuesday March 16, 2020, volunteer roles within the Society have been suspended until further notice.

If you would like to complete an application, we will follow up when our volunteer program re-opens.

Volunteer with us

Volunteers are vital to the energy and success of the Society. Dedicated individuals, in communities throughout B.C., volunteer in a wide variety of activities that expand and strengthen our ability to provide quality programs, support and services. Thank you everyone for being a part of our team.

Current volunteer opportunities

Join a team of volunteers dedicated to a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia, and who ensure people living with the disease are welcomed, acknowledged and included until that day comes. Read about our current volunteer opportunities, including opportunities to assist Minds in Motion®, a social and fitness program for people living with any form of early stage dementia along with a family member, friend or other care partner.

Award-winning volunteers

Every year, the Society recognizes several outstanding volunteers – those who best represent our key core values of compassion, integrity and respect, leadership and teamwork. Meet our award-winning volunteers.
