Over $77,000 and counting raised for local IG Wealth Management
Walk for Alzheimer’s Events

Belleville, June 1, 2022 – Local IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s events raised significant funds and awareness for the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward this past weekend, with contributions continuing to pour in from the community.

IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer’s events were hosted in Belleville, Prince Edward County, Quinte West, Bancroft and Tweed on Saturday May 28^th in person for the first time since 2019. Additionally, many walkers participated at home and in the community, raising additional funds for their local area. Together, over $77,000 has been raised so far; surpassing the Society’s goal of $75,000. The Society would like to thank participants, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and all supporters for making this year’s walk such a success.

The Tweed walk was once again hosted in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Tweed and was hosted as the clubs signature community project. The Belleville walk was also hosted in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Belleville. The Alzheimer Society greatly appreciates the support and contributions of these local Kiwanis clubs and their members.

Donations for the walk continue to be accepted and online fundraising pages will remain open for several weeks. You can donate and learn more at www.walkforalzheimers.ca. As always, all funds raised and donated to the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward stays completely local and has a direct impact on the lives of those affected by memory loss here in our community.
