A Home–like environment
Our Day Away program has full kitchen facilities, where homemade dietician-designed meals are prepared. The program also has a secure courtyard and garden, and is wheelchair accessible. The home-like environment is safe, secure, and beautifully custom-designed for the support and enjoyment of our clients.
A Program Designed For You
Join us for a choice of evidence based enjoyable activities - all specially adapted for people unable to attend traditional community and social programs. Whether you enjoy crafts, gardening, pets, music, meal preparation and baking, exercise, group discussion, games, projects, or special events and parties, we'll design a program to suit you. Our Day Away Program team develops an individual Care Plan in consultation with each client and their family. Daily journals help share activities and news. Our staff to client ratio supports our person-centered care philosophy which allows us to provide some personal care such as assistance with feeding, toileting, incontinence care and safe transfers.
Evidenced Based Wellness Program
Health Monitoring - Monitoring blood pressure and changes in weight is crucial to ensuring optimal health in older adults. To better support the ongoing wellness and optimal health of our clients, trained staff will regularly monitor the client’s blood pressure, and weight during program hours. Once completed a record of the client’s vital signs will be sent home monthly or as needed. No additional fee for this service.
Foot Care - In a dementia friendly environment, specially trained regulated health care professionals provide foot care services on site at no additional cost.
