The purpose of this study is to understand family experiences of mealtimes in long-term care. We will interview current or bereaved family caregivers of people living with dementia in long-term care homes in Saskatchewan to understand and describe what is needed to support meaningful family engagement at mealtimes into later stages of dementia to inform family-centred mealtime interventions and resources for families navigating evolving dementia care needs.

What Will Happen in This Study?

Participants will take part in an individual interview about their experiences of engaging in mealtimes with a family resident living with dementia in long-term care. Interviews will last about one hour.
