DELIGHT: DEmentia Lifestyle Intervention for Getting Healthy Together
What is this Study about?
The DELIGHT program will be implemented in diverse communities. We are looking for people with lived experience and expertise to participate in an Advisory Team. Members of the Advisory Team will participate in the planning and decision-making to adapt the DELIGHT project for rural and remote communities or Cantonese and Mandarin speaking communities. Your participation is specific to one of these listed diverse contexts.The study’s aim is to make the program suitable for various needs and environments of diverse audiences and organizations. Learnings from the adaptation process can be used to inform future adaptations for other groups and settings.
What Will Happen in This Study?
Members of the Advisory Team will participate in the planning and decision-making to adapt the DELIGHT project for rural and remote communities or Cantonese and Mandarin speaking communities. Meetings are offered virtually and/or through call-in phone options. It is anticipated that we will meet approximately every second week over 2-3 months, though the timing and frequency of meetings will be finalized by the group. Honoraria will be provided.
Who is Eligible to Participate in this Study?
Are a person living with dementia, memory problems, mild cognitive impairment or care partners, and community service providers and healthcare professionals in Canadian communities.
Ability to speak English.
