An Integrated Approach to Factors Promoting Physical Activity for Cognitive Health

What is this Study about?

1. Aim

We aim to use questionnaires to identify the interaction among PA, sensory and social factors in older adults with normal cognition, mild impairments, and mild dementia

2. How information will be gathered

There are two parts to this study.

In Part A, participants part take in a survey which will ask them questions about their demographic characteristics.

In Part B of the study, participants will complete two online assessments SHOEBOX (online measure of hearing) and Cogniciti (an online measure of cognition).

What Will Happen in This Study?

There are two parts to this study. In Part A, participants part take in a 30 minute survey which will ask them questions about their demographic characteristics, physical activity and medical history. In Part B, participants will complete an online hearing assessment that will take 5-10 minutes and an online cognitive assessment that will take 15-25 minutes.

Who is Eligible to Participate in this Study?

-Older adults (65+)

-Able to complete the on-line questionnaires (we accept that this will limit participants to mild dementia)

- Has access to headphones (either in ear or over ear)

- Ability to speak English

Person living with dementia, Person living with Alzheimer’s disease, Person at risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD) or living with pre-clinical AD, Person living with mild cognitive impairment
