Understanding Dementia Caregivers’ Needs and Expectations from a Social Robotic System for Training and Support
What is this Study about?
You are invited to participate in a study examining how a social robot can be used as a training and support tool to help dementia caregivers connect with and support multiple residents living with dementia. A supporting mobile app has been developed through co-design sessions with dementia caregivers. We are seeking caregivers’ insights into their needs and expectations for this social robotic support system.
Information collected will be anonymized, stored securely in our repository, and disposed of when it is no longer needed.
What Will Happen in This Study?
You will participate in either a focus group or a one-on-one interview. You will discuss and answer questions about your lived experiences and challenges as a dementia caregiver, including gaps in support that technology may be able to address. The session will be held online or in person, according to your preference. In-person sessions will take place at a location arranged with the participant’s centre. Participation will take no more than 90 minutes.
Who is Eligible to Participate in this Study?
You are eligible if you are a dementia caregiver (whether a new caregiver or an experienced caregiver)
