At the heart of the Alzheimer Society of B.C.’s work is a commitment to ensuring that the voices of lived experience – of people living with dementia, their caregivers and families – inform the policies, practices and services that support them. That includes our own services, initiatives and priorities.

We’re inviting the people who use our services – people like you – to help define the course ahead for the Society as we undertake our strategic planning process to determine the direction and goals for the next several years. We want to hear from you about your experiences with the Society, with the disease and with the health-care system.

If you'd like to help us by sharing your insights, click below and sign up for one of our upcoming focus groups:

For people living with dementia

For caregivers

  • October 7 at 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. [FULL]
  • October 13 at 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. [FULL]

Your experience of the dementia journey is unique to you, and your insights into the disease and the challenges it presents to you are invaluable to helping the Society continue to respond to the changing needs of British Columbians affected by dementia. These sessions will be recorded for reporting purposes.

Space in these focus groups is limited, but if you aren’t able to participate, we’ll be following up in early 2022 to find out more about your experiences as we develop our strategic plan.
