Individual support

With services in over 150 communities across Canada, the Alzheimer Society supports people with dementia, family members, caregivers, and health-care professionals.

If you are newly diagnosed, we strongly recommend that you visit the Alzheimer Society of Dufferin County for information about counselling, programs and services, and support.

To help you navigate through the changes, whether you are a person with dementia, a family member, or caregiver, we have created several brochures with details about what to expect.

Support groups

There are many ways to get the support you need, whether you are a person living with dementia, a caregiver or a family member.

A support group can give you a place to talk with other caregivers who understand the disease and know just what you’re going through. We currently host the following Support Groups:
