Belleville - The Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward (ASHPE) is pleased to announce the launch of a new In-Home Activations program for local clients. This new community-based program is focused on working with those living with dementia and their partners in care directly in their homes.
This program aims to provide sustainable activities, tools and resources to persons living with dementia and partners in care that can be done right at home. These activities and techniques aim to create instances of positive engagement, benefits to mental and physical function, and overall improvements to safety and wellbeing.

Through this program we hope to improve the quality of life for participants and help reduce incidences of crisis, supporting emergency department diversion. This program is currently in the development stages, and community support is needed. The new In-Home Activations program will be delivered by dedicated program volunteers and ASHPE's new Activation Coordinator Taylor Ware. Volunteers are currently being requested to help grow and execute this program. For more information or to apply, please contact the Alzheimer Society of Hastings-Prince Edward today.
