2025 Provincial Election
Read the Alzheimer Society of Ontario's recommendations for provincial election candidates to help build a dementia-ready Ontario.

Dementia care in Ontario is at a critical point, with over 334,500 Ontarians living with dementia—a number expected to triple by 2050. Despite the efforts of families, care partners, and healthcare professionals, too many people face preventable crises, unnecessary hospitalizations, and long-term care admissions due to gaps in home and community supports. The next Ontario government has an opportunity to take action by investing in programs and enabling policies that improve care and keep people living with dementia at home.
The Alzheimer Society of Ontario has developed key Dementia-Ready Ontario recommendations for the next government, outlining essential policies and investments needed to transform dementia care.
