Manager of Clinical Services

Overview
As the Manager of Clinical Services, you will bring leadership experience and a strong knowledge of social work to the team. You will be responsible to support a team of clinical staff to provide navigation and social work supports to clients, ensuring adherence to applicable legislation, policies, procedures, and best practice. You will work as part of the Alzheimer Society Leadership team to provide a welcoming environment for clients, employees, volunteers, and stakeholders.
What you will be doing
- Providing guidance and supervision to a team of clinical staff, including nurses and social workers
- Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding clinical staff when there are vacancies on your team
- Developing performance plans with employees and evaluating their work through regular check-ins and annual performance reviews
- Providing opportunities for team building and training
- Debriefing with your staff as needed and as determined by the team
- Organizing and leading regular team meetings to maintain communication within the team
- Providing input into organizational policies and procedures that are relevant to your role
- Assisting in the development and oversight of the organization’s quality improvement plan
- Assisting with risk management policies and oversight
- Ensuring staff work safely and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies
- Presenting information about the Alzheimer Society, upcoming initiatives, and other information as required to staff, leadership, stakeholders, and funders
- Representing the Alzheimer Society at meetings and events
- Communicating with clients as needed to resolve complaints or other issues
- Keeping office hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday; flexibility and overtime hours are an expectation of management
- Providing program and service coverage as needed for your staff, including taking part in an on-call rotation to cover services that run outside of regular office hours
What you will bring along
- You must have a post-secondary degree in Social Work from an accredited university with current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- You must have at least five years of social work experience in a community setting
- You must have at least two years of recent experience supervising people
- The Society requires that new employees be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, subject to any accommodation obligations it may have under human rights legislation.
What we offer
- Salary Range: $50,082 to $75,123

About the Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton
The Alzheimer Society of Sarnia-Lambton (ASSL) is a community support service organization that provides programs and services to people living with dementia and their care partners in Sarnia-Lambton. We work closely with other service providers to ensure quality care and support for our clients.
