National Volunteer Week

This year’s theme is Volunteering Is Empathy in Action.
Empathy is a quality that can help people relate to others and build awareness around different experiences. It connects people in ideas and actions and helps create bonds forged in common goals and aspirations. Volunteering helps us develop empathy, to see the world through the eyes of others.
We thank our volunteers for empathizing with people living with dementia, with their care partners, families, and friends.
We thank our volunteers for supporting each other through their roles and through the rough times in each others’ lives.

During National Volunteer Week, join us in celebrating the caring, collaborative, and compassionate volunteers who contribute so much to our communities.
We express our deepest gratitude and thanks to the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County’s incredible volunteers!
