Canada is facing a growing crisis — and it’s not tariffs or trade. It’s dementia and the personal and financial toll it takes on Canadians, our healthcare system, and the economy.

By 2030, nearly 1 million Canadians will be living with Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia. The impact on individuals, families, our healthcare system, and our economy is enormous — and rising. The total cost of dementia in Canada is projected to reach a staggering $2.4 trillion by 2050. We have the tools to change this future, but we need political will.

Canada’s National Dementia Strategy is the best path forward to improve dementia care and prevention. It ensures that people living with dementia and their caregivers receive the support, resources, and services they need. But for it to work, it must be sustainably funded.

Get Involved

Dementia doesn’t care about political lines, it touches every community, every family, and every one of us.

Let’s make beating Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias a Team Canada priority.
