First Link® Education Series 

Our First Link® Learning Series offers our registered clients a comprehensive overview of dementia, coping strategies, resources and support systems. The 4 part series offers clients insights into managing well with dementia through all stages of the dementia journey. We offer these programs throughout the year.

Learning the Ropes for Living with MCI®

Our 6-week program Learning the Ropes for Living with MCI, helps people living with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) optimize their cognitive health through lifestyle choices, memory training and the support of others living with the same diagnosis.

Education Hour Online Sessions

Our free online Education Hour sessions are open to anyone, but many family carepartners and people with dementia have found them helpful, concise and convenient. Each session includes a short presentation with time for discussion. We cover topics such as 10 Warning Signs, Types of Dementia, Communication Tips, and more. Let us know if you have a topic you would like to hear about - we love suggestions.

U-First! for Family Care Partners

The U-First!® for Care Partners education program supports Care Partners who are caring for someone experiencing behaviour changes caused by dementia. As a Care Partner, you may be a family member, friend, neighbour, or other who provides non-professional care to someone living at home or in Long Term Care. This 3 week program is offered at the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth throughout the year.
