Join our summer walking groups

Join staff with the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County as we venture through an accessible trail to get some steps in at Tudhope Park in Orillia, Sunnidale Park in Barrie, and Warden's Park Loop in Adjala-Tosorontio.
We are hosting five weeks of walking together at a gentle pace. Through many studies, exercise has been proven to get your blood pumping, which in turn boosts your brain health.
Wear appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle if you'd like, any needed medication, and any walking aids if needed. Nordic walking poles are also welcome.
Walking groups will be cancelled in heavy rain or extreme heat.
Staff will meet at Tudhope Park Tuesdays, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 8 to Aug. 5. On Wednesdays, from 10 to 11 a.m., they will be at Sunnidale Park from July 9 to Aug. 6. On Thursdays, meet at Warden's Park from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. July 17 to Aug. 14.
All fitness levels are welcome.
If you plan to join us, please sign up through our online platform RecDesk-- and that makes it easy to connect if a class happens to be canceled.
Visit assc.recdesk.com to see the schedule and sign up. If you have more questions, contact Kennedy at [email protected], call 705-722-1066 ext. 232 or Kaitlyn at [email protected].
