National Caregiver Day

National Caregiver Day

The first Tuesday of April is National Caregivers Day in Canada.

And on Tuesday, April 1, the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County is thanking all of the family members, friends, volunteers and staff throughout Simcoe County who provide caregiving services to someone they care for.

On this day, we honour and celebrate people in Canada who provide personal care, physical and/or emotional support to those in need. Caregivers make a difference in the lives of many people across the country. The support they provide contributes to a better quality of life for those they are caring for.

Here's Naomi Mison's story about caregiving for her mother, living with dementia.
