Thank you to 100 Men Who Give a Damn

100 Men Who Give a Damn Innisfil

The members of 100 Men Who Give a Damn Innisfil recently decided to support the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County with a $1,500 donation.

The locally run group of community minded men meets quarterly, to give out donations in support of local charities.

Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County CEO Ann-Marie Kungl was invited to attend a group meeting earlier this year, to make a pitch for support.

She shared that our organization relies heavily on community donations, and a donation could be used for our social recreation programs, specifically supporting the work towards a social cafe in Innisfil.

Social cafes are casual meetings for people living with dementia and their caregivers to meet in a safe setting, to share stories of their journey - including some laughs- and any resources for improving the quality of life for all involved.

We thank the 100 Men Who Give a Damn Innisfil for choosing our organization, with members Wayne Clements, Michael Tough and Brian Sametz stopping by to pass along the donation.
