Vince's Market supports ASSC

Vince’s Market in New Tecumseth is supporting the Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County (ASSC) this year, with its Vince's Cares Community Product Initiative (CPI).
The initiative is an annual campaign that involves all four stores, participating vendors – and Vince’s customers. It’s an opportunity to raise significant funds for a non-profit organization that makes a positive difference in our communities.
Working with participating vendors, Vince’s identifies a variety of items – typically staples – and then sets aside 15 percent of sales from these Community Products throughout the year.
Currently, it's the Marcangelo Fresh Italian Style Pork Meatballs, at $10.99 each, which will support the ASSC with 15 per cent of sales.
Since launching the CPI in 2018, the initiative has raised more than $178K for organizations that include CHATS, Canadian Mental Health Association, Southlake Hospital, Women’s Centre of York Region, and more.
Vince’s is pleased to announce the 2025 recipient of our Community Product Initiative: the Alzheimer Society of York Region, Simcoe County, and Durham Region. Vince’s takes very seriously the challenges faced by people living with dementia, their families and their caregivers.
These caregivers provide an average of 26 hours of caregiving per week and often face significant challenges, including financial strain, burnout, depression, and social isolation.
"The Alzheimer Society supports thousands of caregivers every year, guiding them through their loved one’s journey with the disease," Vince's Market said in a press release. "Support from Vince’s Community Product Initiative could help us offer essential programs and services such as counselling, support groups, educational workshops, and respite programs, so they can provide the best care possible while also prioritizing their own well-being."
The Alzheimer Society is a trusted leader in dementia-specific programming to support our family, friends and neighbours impacted by dementia. The organization works to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias and to promote research. We support people living with dementia, their care partners and the community across York Region, Simcoe County and Durham Region by providing public education and awareness programs, healthcare navigation, caregiver education and support groups, counselling, active living and recreation programs.
