AS York’s Adult D.A.Y. Programs offer structured, dementia-specific programming that supports people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, while providing respite for care partners. Volunteers play an important role in fostering social engagement, dignity, and a sense of belonging at our Aurora, Thornhill, and Stouffville locations.

Administrative & Development Support Volunteers

The administrative volunteers support the Alzheimer Society of York Region by assisting with general office and fund development-related tasks - work that directly helps secure the funds need to serve people living with dementia and their caregivers in our community. Responsibilities may include preparing mailings, assembling materials, data entry, supporting special projects, and assisting with displays and promotional resources for programs, events, and community awareness initiatives. This role supports fundraising, communications, and administrative efforts and is a powerful way to use your experience, stay engaged and make a lasting difference for your friends and neighbours impacted by Alzheimer's disease or another dementia..
