Alzheimer Societies across Quebec offers programs and services to help people living with dementia, caregivers and health-care professionals. We provide information, resources, guidelines and support.
We are here to help
You are welcome to contact your local Alzheimer Society without a referral from a health care professional. No matter how Alzheimer’s disease or any other form of dementia affects you or your family, your local Alzheimer Society can be a helpful resource for information about getting a diagnosis and how to live as well as possible with dementia.
Evidence is mounting that people with dementia and their families who get connected to information and services early in the disease course tend to do better.
First Link® is a referral program designed to help newly diagnosed people with dementia and their families get the help they need as soon as possible.
People with dementia can become lost even in familiar places. MedicAlert® Safely Home® is a program that helps identify the person with dementia who is lost and assist in a safe return home. Critical medical information and the Hotline Number are engraved on the ID bearing the MedicAlert symbol recognized by emergency responders.
