This full day conference features an exciting line-up of experts in dementia. We invite you to join us for the 12th Annual Alzheimer's Awareness Conference on Thursday, January 25, 2024. Registration opens at 8:30AM, presentations beginning at 9:00AM. Presenters will share essential, emerging, and impactful education for persons living with dementia, family caregivers, healthcare providers, and the public.

Conference tickets include the cost of the conference, morning refreshments, and lunch. After lunch we will have storytelling by a well known local duo that is sure to delight!

"Sex differences in risk for Alzheimer’s disease: Implications for women’s brain health"

Two-thirds of Canadians with Alzheimer's are women, yet dementia research has historically overlooked them, leaving significant gaps in our understanding of women's brain health. This keynote reviews evidence for sex and gender differences impacting Alzheimer's risk, exploring factors like cardiovascular health, genetics, and hormonal processes. Madeline outlines a roadmap for future research, advocating for multidisciplinary approaches and a global perspective on health disparities to advance strategies promoting women's brain health in aging.
