Ferne Stevenson Caregiver Award

The Alzheimer Society exists to serve all persons living with dementia and the caregivers who support them.

We all know someone who's a hero in our community. They could be a family member, a neighbor who visits regularly, a friend who cares, or health care providers who go above and beyond to provide the best quality care for someone living with dementia.

We want to honour the caregivers who are the backbone of our healthcare system and our communities – our unsung heroes.

With this award we recognize a caregiver(s) who exemplifies compassion in person-centered care, and who is a champion for best practices in care and the promotion of programs and services for those affected by Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

This award is named the Ferne Stevenson Caregiver Award, in memory of Ferne Stevenson, a caregiver who gave generously for her family, friends, and community.
