Each September, people unite from all corners of the world to raise awareness and to challenge the stigma that persists around Alzheimer’s disease and all types of dementia.

Join us for the World Alzheimer’s Day Breakfast at Willistead Manor on Friday, September 20th with guest speaker Dr. Sheila Horen the 2022 recipient of the ‘Others Before Self’ award. Dr. Horen graduated with a medical degree from Queen’s University and has received multiple awards including the Gold Medal in Family Medicine.

The Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County is proud to uphold its yearly tradition of recognizing those who show unwavering dedication to our local society. This year's Others Before Self award recipient is Don Learn.
