Precious Memories raises $4,600

The 11th annual Alzheimer awareness fundraising event, Precious Memories was held on September 8, 2024, at Jose’s Bar and Grill.
Over the past eleven years, event organizer Gino Lomazzo, and his mighty committee have raised nearly $90,000 for the Alzheimer Society of Windsor and Essex County. Those funds have stayed 100% local and helped support ASWE’s programs and services that ease the burden of this terrible disease and the impact it has on those that care for someone with dementia through education, support, respite care, and adult day programming. Programs such as the Adult Day Program, In-Home Respite Care, and Learning Series, just to name a few.
While there is still no cure for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, and our statistics continue to increase, events like these support the work we do at the Alzheimer Society. The event provides an opportunity for fellowship and discussion, with the hope to one day achieve our Vision, a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
