With programs and services available across Canada, the Alzheimer Society supports people with dementia, their families, caregivers, and health-care professionals.

If you are newly diagnosed

Getting a diagnosis of dementia can be overwhelming. We strongly recommend that you visit your local Alzheimer Society for information, programs, services and support.

To help you, we have created a number of resources to learn about dementia and how you can live as well as possible with dementia.

If you are a family member or caregiver

If you’re looking for advice, someone to listen, or general information, there are many ways to get the support you need:

  • To see all of our resources, please visit Alzheimer Society brochures and publications.
  • A support group can give you a place to talk with others who understand the disease and know just what you’re going through. For support groups in your area, contact your local Alzheimer Society.
  • Staff are available to listen to your concerns and help you plan for the future.

Please call 1-800-616-8816 or contact your local Alzheimer Society to access information and support.
