World Alzheimer Month
September is World Alzheimer’s Month. It is a time to raise awareness, and show support for people living with dementia and their care partners. Join the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka as we spark conversations, share resources, challenge stigma, and take action together to build a more dementia‑friendly Muskoka and Parry Sound.

This month is all about getting your Alzheimer's and dementia questions answered. Do you have a question you've been wanting to ask? Send it in to us today and we will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
Light Up Blue for World Alzheimer’s Month
This September, join the Alzheimer Society of Muskoka in raising awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia by lighting up blue. We are lighting up to encourage discussion, reduce stigma, and show that no one has to face this journey alone.
Across Muskoka and Parry Sound, local landmarks, homes, and organizations will be glowing in blue to spark conversation and show support for the thousands of people in our region affected by dementia. Whether you're a municipality, business, or community member, you can be part of this powerful visual statement.
Request a blue light bulb and help light up our communities in solidarity. Contact Bobbi Vasher, Digital Communications Specialist, at bvasher@alzheimermuskoka.ca to get your blue lightbulb.

Sending a heartfelt thank you to Home Depot of Canada Inc., Bracebridge Store for their generous donation of 96 blue light bulbs.
