Full-Time; 37.5 hours per week; Weekdays, may include Evenings/Weekends

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or designate, and as a member of the Senior Team, while serving the residents of Windsor and Essex County as a vital member of a multi-disciplinary management team. Key duties are to work collaboratively with the CEO and the Director of Financial & Support Services on an executive level, as well as with the community to ensure successful development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and nurturing of fundraising, events, community engagement and volunteer management. 

Position also oversees the Community Engagement & Volunteer Coordinator and Donor Relations Coordinators, all communications including social media, website, media relations and fund-raising campaigns.

This position is responsible for providing key income generation and long-term sustainable funding through a Capital Campaign (C3II), Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Monthly Giving, and Special Projects. This position will have the ability to steward donor relations and coordinate funding opportunities through ongoing relationship building.

This position has a high level of presence in the community and is responsible for promoting awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and the Society and provides key support at board level for fundraising and public relations events ie: the Annual General Meeting, World Alzheimer Day Breakfast, Matching Gift Campaign etc.

Attendance at Society fundraising events is mandatory, and attendance at client-centered events is strongly encouraged.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, marketing, or related field preferred, butappropriate combination of education & experience may be considered.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize and implement successful initiatives and community fundraising events and programs.
  • Computer expertise in database management (Raiser’s Edge preferred), graphic design/layout and word processing.
  • Experience in the promotion and marketing of service organizations.
  • Experience and familiarity with media relations.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) certification or related professional education an asset.
  • Experience in Volunteer Coordination an asset.
  • Volunteer Management Certification an asset.
