Where Your Donation Goes
When you donate to the Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce 100% of your donation stays in Grey and Bruce Counties to support local families living with dementia. The Society has seventeen staff who are committed to making Grey-Bruce a better place for people living with dementia.
The First Link Support Counsellors staff offer one-to-one guidance, information and support. They also run support groups and are often present at the time of diagnosis through local Memory Clinics.
The Social Recreation staff provide engaging programs for people living with dementia and their care partners. This incudes but is not limited to exercise, crafts, sing-a-long, socialization, and other mentally stimulating activities and projects.
The Society also lends out activity kits, dementia clocks, door alarms, and robotic companion pets.
The Alzheimer Society of Grey-Bruce also does public education, education to healthcare workers, and promotes research whenever possible.
Make A Monthly Donation
Monthly donations are one of the best ways you can help local families living with dementia. There are more than 1,000 local families in Grey-Bruce alone who rely on Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce support and by making a monthly donation you can help to ensure regular cash flow and sustainable programs.
It also makes it easier for you to budget and plan your charitable giving.
Become A Volunteer
People living with dementia can do wonderful amazing things but they also require some help. There's never a shortage of things that can be done in Grey-Bruce to make our community better for local families living with dementia.
