Public policy and the delivery of healthcare must reflect the reality of people living with dementia, their families and care partners. The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories champions efforts to ensure that dementia is a healthcare priority.

Dementia is growing, our client referrals are increasing year over year and costs are rising. Health care remains a top concern in the province and it is important to highlight the mounting social, economic and personal cost of dementia. We believe it is critical to have investment by the government to ensure those living with dementia and those who care for and support them receive the resources they need. And, that by working together we can create inclusive communities where individuals impacted by dementia can live well.
