The Alzheimer’s Face Off Pro-Am Hockey Tournament presented by Christenson Communities Ltd. (AFO) is an Edmonton-based hockey tournament that pairs hockey enthusiasts with some of their favorite NHL Alumni. This fun-filled weekend event focuses on raising funds to provide help for today for those living with dementia and their families and hope for tomorrow through research.

The 2023 AFO raised $1.4M in support of the Society! Thank you to all who participated, raised awareness and funds, sponsored, donated, volunteered, and joined us on tourney weekend to cheer on your loved ones! We are truly grateful!

IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's

walk logo

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's is Canada’s biggest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, taking place in more than 400 communities across the country.

In 2022 over $100,000 was raised by Walks across Alberta and Northwest Territories.

These funds will go toward local programs and services that improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families-in your community-and support awareness and education about dementia.

Why join the Walk?

Make memories matter! When you walk, you’re sending a message of hope to Canadians living with dementia, and thousands more who care for them. When you fundraise, you’re promising them that help will always be available.

At the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, we work to educate individuals about Alzheimer's disease and other dementias by sharing the stories of people living with dementia. This may also include sharing photos, videos, audio clips, and blogs.

By giving the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories permission to use your story, photo, video, or sound clip which you are part of, you are helping us to build awareness that will bring us one step closer to our vision: a world without Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

The Society will make every attempt to inform you each time your piece is being used.

We thank you for your participation.
