Our Funding

The Alzheimer Society Niagara Region is a non-profit charitable organization and depends on charitable donations and special events fundraising for the financial support required to continue our work. All donations to the Alzheimer Society Niagara Region are eligible for tax receipts.

The Society is supported by individual and community service sector donations, special events fundraising and also receives funding from the Ontario Health West (formerly the Hamilton, Niagara, Halton, Brant Local Health Integration Network or HNHBLHIN) to support our education, counselling and First Link® programs. Learn more here.

Ontario Health West

The Alzheimer Society Niagara Region is a member of the Niagara Ontario Health Team. The Niagara Ontario Health Team – Équipe Santé Ontario Niagara (NOHT-ÉSON) is a steadily growing network of more than 45 health care providers, social service agencies, educational institutions and Patient/Client & Family/Caregiver Representatives organized under the province’s Ontario Health Team initiative. We are committed to working as one coordinated team to provide exceptional service, support and care to you—patients, clients, families and caregivers—no matter where or when you need it, now and for future generations.

All clients of the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region (ASNR) can reasonably expect to be provided with a full range of services. All donors have the right to be aware of the mission of the ASNR and know what purpose their donation is being used for.
