Policy and advocacy publications

One of the things we do at the Alzheimer Society of Ontario is work with people living with dementia, care partners, healthcare professionals, partner organizations and others to identify gaps in dementia care and bring forward practical solutions.

Sometimes that means examining whether Ontario is ready for a new generation of Alzheimer’s treatments. Sometimes it means asking why something as fundamental as sleep can still be so difficult to address in dementia care. Across this work is a common goal: to better understand where the system is falling short, and help identify practical ways forward.

The publications collected on this page reflect that work. They include reports and recommendations developed by the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, contributions made alongside our partners, and selected work helping shape the conversation about dementia care in Ontario and across Canada.
