Dementia Friendly Connections Café
Dementia Friendly Connections Cafés invite all members of the community to come together, learn more about their neighbours, and find ways to foster a welcoming and accessible community for all.
Dementia Friendly Connections Cafés are a Community Champion led social initiative, designed to provide a social opportunity, and build meaningful community connections among people living with dementia, their care partners, and the wider community.
Community members are invited to connect with their neighbours at these lightly structured social programs, with refreshments, snacks, and ice breakers provided to help get the conversation flowing.
Eligibility
To be eligible to attend a Dementia Friendly Connections Café you simply have to be a member of the community in which it is hosted (or a nearby community), who is looking to form meaningful connections with fellow community members.
The initiative is designed to be accessible and welcoming to people living with dementia and their care partners, but a personal connection to dementia is not a requirement for attendance.
There is no registration required!
